Marshmallow, deciduous shrub up to 120cm tall, big flowers up to 25cm, comes into bloom in the second year, resistant to frosts up to -20°C with protection for winter time. In the autumn the stem above ground has to be cut for the height of 15cm, in spring the plant will bud again. It is necessary to cover the plant with 20cm high layer of dry leaves or mulching bark for winter.
