A thermophilic tubereous perennial climber from southern India. Dark green 5 to 7 lobed leaves. Bright yellow funnel-shaped 6 cm large flowers. Globular fruits are used in dry flower arrangements. It blooms in second year. It is grown in Hawaii, where it has become naturalized. In nature, it reaches up to 10 m of height.
